Boomtown Sweepstakes™ System

The Boomtown Sweepstakes™ System game theme presents a video representation of a “spinning reel” game based primarily upon a 5-reel, 9-line display. Symbols presented as the entertaining result of the sweepstakes entries employ as many as 20 different themes, most of which can be seen on the products page of the website. The participant selects the number of entries to be revealed per line (1-10), which equate to the number of lines in play. Therefore, the number of entries per play the participant wishes to reveal will vary between 9 and 90, by multiples of 9. The maximum available play can be configured in the operator menu.

The Boomtown Sweepstakes™ System consists of one Sweepstakes Terminal computer, one Point of Sale computer, and one Card recharge station (kiosk)*. These components are networked together using a commercially available network switch. *Kiosks are currently being redeveloped so these are not available as of now…expected release date is Fall 2010*

Official Rules

To participate in the sweepstakes, the rules provide for various methods by which the participant may receive sweepstakes entries.

If the participant purchases $1.00 of phone time then they are entitled to 100 sweepstakes entries. If the participant requests sweepstakes entries with no purchase at the location, the participant may receive 100 entries ($1 worth) per day. The system does not distinguish sweepstakes entries granted through a purchase from those granted by request with no purchase necessary. One (1) dollar purchases twenty (20) minutes of phone time. To place a call dial 1-800-419-9434, enter Pin (visual ID #) when prompted. Dial the number you wish to call. Domestic use only. Calls are billed in 1 minute increments. Service fees may apply. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. One (1) free entry allotted per individual per twenty four (24) hour period. As an alternate means of entry into the Fantasy Fone Card Sweepstakes™, a player must request a free entry from an attendant. A free entry is equal to the minimum amount that is allowed to be purchased which is 100 sweepstakes entries or $1. Alternatively, the player may send a legible photocopy of his/her driver’s license or other government identification and a 3 inch x 5 inch card on which the player has legibly handwritten the player’s first and last name, complete mailing address (e.g. street, city, state, and zip code), telephone number, date of birth, and the location that they would like to have their sweepstakes prizes revealed. Eligibility

The sweepstakes is open only to customers who are 18 years age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of sponsor and promoters, their respective related companies and agents as well as family and household members of each such employee, officer, and director are not eligible to enter. By participating entrant agrees to abide by those official rules and the decisions of the sponsor which are binding and final in all respects.

Prize

The exact prize for which an entrant is eligible depends on the sweepstakes through which he/she entered. No substitution, assignment, or transfer of prize is permitted except by sponsor and promoters who reserve the right to substitute a prize with another prize of comparable value. Winner is solely responsible for any and all applicable fees and taxes associated with prize receipt and use. Sponsor will withhold and/or report taxes as required by the applicable law of sponsor and/or promoter’s jurisdiction and winner’s jurisdiction.

The number of entries in the sweepstakes and associated prizes are determined before the sweepstakes begins and cannot be changed. Therefore, the odds of winning a prize remain the same regardless of the number of game entries revealed at any time. Increasing the number of entries to be revealed at one time does not change the odds of winning any prize. All participants reveal entries using any of these available sweepstakes terminals. The odds of winning for each game can be brought up on each terminal by going through the help screen and pulling up the prize table. The sweepstakes ends after each machine has went through 2 cycles and the cycle lengths are depended upon the number of players. General Conditions Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the sweepstakes if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the sweepstakes as determined by sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these official rules or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage sponsors or any promoter’s web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the sweepstakes may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and should such attempt be made, sponsor and promoters reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law. Sponsors failure to enforce any term of these official rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Release and Limitations of Liability By participating in the sweepstakes entrants agree to release and hold harmless sponsors, promoters, their respective officers, employees, directors, parent companies, and agents from and against any claim of action arising out of participation in the sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize, including but not limited to : a) unauthorized human intervention in the sweepstakes; b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers or telephone or network lines; c) printing errors; d) errors in the administration of the sweepstakes or the processing entries or; e) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the entrants participation in the sweepstakes or receipt of any prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, sponsors liability will be limited to the cost of entering the sweepstakes and in no event shall sponsor be liable for attorney’s fees. Entrant waives right to claim any damages whatsoever, including but not limited to punitive, consequential, direct, or claims and causes of action out of or connected with the sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved under the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA without respect to any conflict of law issues. Entrant agrees that such shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action and exclusively by the US Federal and State courts of Rutherford County, Murfreesboro, TN.

Operator Explanation

If the participant purchases $1.00 of phone time then they are entitled to 100 sweepstakes entries. If the participant requests sweepstakes entries with no purchase at the location, the participant may receive 100 entries per day. The system does not distinguish sweepstakes entries granted through a purchase from those granted by request with no purchase necessary. Therefore all sweepstakes participants have the same chances of winning a prize on any sweepstakes terminal. The participant’s account is issued entitlement to sweepstakes entries. The player is given a card with a barcode that is linked to their account. This account retains all entitlements to sweepstakes entries and will store any prizes attained through revealing sweepstakes entries. The participant reveals the sweepstakes entries at a Sweepstakes Terminal, which uses one entertaining game theme to display the content of the entries. To access the sweepstakes entries at a Sweepstakes Terminal, the participant is required to scan the card at that terminal. The participant then presses an available number (1, 5, 10, 20, max) on the attached keypad, which represents the arcade value of entries to place onto the terminal. The participant may elect to place 100, 500, 1000, 2000, or maximum entries onto the participant terminal, without exceeding 150,000 entries during any single session. The video screen will then display the number of sweepstakes entries available. The participant may then choose to play the sweepstakes games, redeem accumulated prizes (in 100 increments), or use any accumulated prize winnings to purchase phone time and receive additional sweepstakes entries.

Each sweepstakes terminal utilizes its own unique pool of finite game pieces. All terminals afford the participant an opportunity to reveal multiple sweepstakes entries simultaneously. In the instance when a participant elects to reveal multiple sweepstakes entries simultaneously, the odds of winning a prize remain the same. All sweepstakes prizes won are displayed as “Score” on the sweepstakes terminal.

To use any accumulated prizes to purchase additional phone time, which will grant the participant additional sweepstakes entries, the participant simply scans the card at the Sweepstakes terminal and presses the “Buy” button. The participant then presses one of the buttons on the keypad (1, 5, 10, 20, max) to select the dollar amount of prizes to use to purchase additional phone time. The participant may then utilize the sweepstakes entries in the previously stated matter.

Please note that revealing the sweepstakes entries does not diminish any phone time that has been purchased. The Boomtown Sweepstakes System is unable to keep track of the current phone time balance/usage. Pulsar Communications is the company that keeps track of all phone time after obtaining purchase information from the system at regular intervals.

A finite set of sweepstakes entries is stored on each Sweepstakes Terminal. Each sweepstakes terminal randomly selects and delivers the results of each entry to the participant. The total prize value of all entries revealed in a given play is converted into an entertaining display, by randomly selecting the positions of the five reels to represent the total prize amount. The entries are them removed from the finite pool of available outcomes and are not made available again until a new sweepstakes is generated. It allows a participant to reveal the content of the sweepstakes entries in an entertaining graphical manner using the available game theme and opportunity to select options that control the number of entries to be revealed at one time. None of these selections however change the outcome of the sweepstakes or increase a participant’s chances of winning any prize. These entries are randomly selected from the finite set without replacement. The reel positions are randomly selected to correctly match the total prize value of the revealed sweepstakes entries and will not alter the outcome of the sweepstakes entries after selection. The number of entries in the sweepstakes and associated prizes are determined before the sweepstakes begins and cannot be changed. Therefore, the odds of winning a prize remain the same regardless of the number of game entries revealed at any one time. Increasing the number of entries to be revealed at one time does not change the odds of winning any prize. Each sweepstakes terminal contains a pool of 32,334,379 possible entries. All participants reveal entries using any of these available sweepstakes terminals.
